Once we accept our limits we go beyond them.—Albert Einstein
Einstein’s life story serves as a wonderful reminder that we are capable of going beyond the limits set by others and sometimes ourselves!
Minutes after I received news that my novel went to press you’ll not believe who came to my door—the great-great granddaughter of Dr. Asa Griggs, the original owner of our 1858 home. Sheila Anderson came by with her daughter for a tour and a visit.
There was no better way to spend the afternoon — it made perfect sense. We sat in the sun-room with her daughter and we shared pieces of their family history and the Battle of West Point. We walked the hallways of my home, their ancestral home, and the home at the center of my novel—we shared stories and spoke of my story —Jumpin’ the Rails!.
Her visit was not planned months ago—she’d called earlier in the week and asked if they could stop on their way home from a trip. We hadn’t seen each other in at least six years — about the time I’d started writing my novel.
Now, I am thrilled to announce that begining TODAY: Jumping’ the Rails! is available for purchase on the Xlibris website, bookstore.xlibris.com, and will also be available on amazon.com and barnesandnoble.com within the next week.
